Sermon Series

Resurrection Recycled: Bringing New Life To Dead Stories

Through Lent we are going to do a deep dive into Resurrection. Asking together, "What counts as Resurrection?" "What are the resurrection stories that we know and retell?" Ending with our final question on Easter, "What makes Jesus' resurrection important, unique, salvific?"

We are going to look at the other resurrection stories in the Old and New Testament, we are going to sample some stories from pop culture, global mythologies, and biology.

We are going to expand our pictures of resurrection and wonder together what the bounds are, and why this story is so endlessly compelling that we can't help but recycle it again and again.

  • A typical Sunday service will last about an hour and 15 minutes
  • We celebrate communion every week
  • Each week we have a piece of art that connects to our series as well as scripture, music, and liturgy. You are invited to worship with all of who you are.
  • The message in worship is about 20 minutes.
  • We have free coffee available and it is allowed in the sanctuary.
  • We have a space in the sanctuary with fidgets and crafts, the Prayground, where folks can feel comfortable to wiggle. We have a sensory room available.
  • Wear whatever makes you comfortable. You will see everything from suits and ties to shorts and flip-flops.
  • Check out our 10 ft Lego stained glass in the Prayground!

Pray-ground

Praygrounds are dedicated spaces in the sanctuary where young disciples can engage in worship in age-appropriate ways. Praygrounds usually have room for kids to get up and move around, tables where they can color or read, and sensory toys to help keep their hands engaged.

At Red Bridge our prayground is easy to spot, right under our lego stained glass... learn more
